In early April, an official visit of the delegation of the Department of Business and Trade of the British Embassy in Kazakhstan to Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University took place. The delegation included Director of the Department Beth McKendrick, Trade Advisor Zarina Abzhapparova and Trade Assistant Asyltas Kaltenova.
The main purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the key areas of the University activities, scientific research and development in the field of renewable energy sources and “green” technologies, as well as with implemented projects with a potential for international cooperation and commercialization.
As part of the visit, the British delegation visited the ESG Center for Creativity and Innovation, where the guests were told about the main areas of activity. The delegation representatives were shown the main achievements of the University in the field of science and “green” technologies. During the presentation of the University, they got acquainted with unique developments, including innovative projects and products: an environmentally friendly shampoo and fermented milk products developed as part of scientific research.
The delegation was particularly interested in the Methane Energy laboratories, the Chemistry and Chemical Technology Department, the Schneider Electric Authorized Training Center, and the Renewable Energy Laboratory. During the tour, the Embassy representatives also got acquainted with the advanced technologies used in the University research.
Abylkas Saginov KTU continues to actively develop international partnerships providing the platform for scientific exchange and introduction of innovative solutions into the global economy.
