In the 2017-2018 academic year in UrFU named B.N. Yeltsin was trained by 7 people in the specialty “Electric power industry and electrical engineering”, the master program 13.04.02 – “Electric drive and automation of technological complexes”. In NRU MEI there are 2 people in the specialty 27.00.00 – “Management in technical systems”, specialization “Management and computer science in technical systems”. In KTU all undergraduates are trained in the specialty 6M070200 – “Automation and Control”.

Together with universities – partners of NIU MEI and UrFU named B.N. Yeltsin conducts joint research activities in the framework of the scientific and educational Internet project “Synergy”.

As part of the “Synergy project”, an annual Internet conference of students and young scientists is held at the base of OmGTU (Omsk) with the participation of students, undergraduates and doctoral students at St. Petersburg State Pedagogical University Peter the Great (St. Petersburg), MEU, Ural Federal University named after B.N. Yeltsin, BSTU (St. Petersburg), OmGTU and KTU.

The staff and doctoral students of KarSTU took part in the 28th DAAAM Symposium with the publication of research results in publications in the Scopus database.

Employees of KTU, NIU MEI, BGTU, NIU SPbPU, UrFU named B. N. Yeltsin has published several articles in the journal Energy Web and Information Technologies, indexed in the Scopus database.

Since 2016, training is conducted in the direction of “Nanotechnology” in conjunction with NUST MISiS. In the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 academic years, 3 undergraduates were trained at NITU MISiS. In the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years, 4 people were trained in the specialty 6M070900 – “Metallurgy”. For the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years, 5 undergraduates of the specialty 6M070900 – “Metallurgy”, and 6M071000 – “Materials science and technology of new materials” are trained. For the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic years it is planned to send 4 undergraduates in the specialty 6M070900 – “Metallurgy” as part of the educational programs of SCO.

Karaganda State Technical University has a modern material and technical base, which is annually updated and updated with modern educational and scientific equipment, computer equipment, furniture and other fixed assets.

The campus of the university includes training and laboratory buildings, a complex of military department buildings, a sports complex with open areas, student dormitories, the Palace of Youth, the Polytechnic cafe, and a landscaped area.

The total area of campus buildings and structures is more than 96 thousand square meters.

The university has 8 educational and laboratory buildings that host modern classrooms, specialized classrooms and laboratories, computer labs, an innovative scientific and technical complex of the university.

The current fleet of modern computing equipment is 3186 units, the use of licensed application software packages is expanding. The University has free Internet access for students, faculty and staff, an educational portal has been created.

The speed of Internet traffic is 450 Mbps.

One of the main advantages of the university is the presence of a modern educational, scientific and industrial base, which includes 186 laboratories, 69 computer classes, 88 interactive classrooms, 6 centers of working professions and 7 centers of world-class engineering competence. In addition, there are 60 innovative educational centers in the branches of the producing departments at the leading industrial enterprises of the Corporate University consortium, equipped with unique technological and laboratory equipment, training grounds, simulators and professional software systems.

The University has an International Materials Science Center and an Engineering Profile Testing Laboratory for the Integrated Development of Mineral Resources, 6 research institutes, 16 science and engineering centers and 4 research and educational complexes (Industry 4.0, Digital Engineering, Nanotechnologies). in metallurgy “and” Bioengineering “).

All these structural units are accredited and have a full range of modern, including unique equipment from global manufacturers. In particular, the Research Institute “Kazakhstan Institute of Welding” has a complex of modern welding equipment made in the USA, France, Sweden, Finland and Italy, which is housed in a separate building of 700 square meters.

The University has two modern assembly halls, one of which (with 450 seats) is located in the Main building and is used during various ceremonial and official events. As the buildings and equipment deteriorate, the computers and furniture become obsolete, and the need for educational literature increases, measures are taken to maintain resources at the same time as the requirements for higher education organizations.

The world-class laboratories “Innovative Welding Technologies” and “Methane Power Engineering” with the Agilent Technologies equipment complex (USA) were created and introduced into the educational process.

In addition, at the expense of sponsors (TOTAL, Mitsubishi Electric, Leica Geosystems, ERSAI corporations, ETAP, Asia Bell companies, etc.) a world-class training center KTU – Mitsubishi Electric – Kazpromavtomatika, acquired modern equipment and licensed software to improve the quality of the educational process.
