On September 21, 2023, students of the College of Innovative Technologies of the Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University visited the Karaganda Regional Museum of Local Lore and held an event “Journey to Cultural Heritage” within the framework of the national cultural and educational project “Tert toksan-tert oner”. The event was held with the support of Chairman of the Board-Rector of Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov, Doctor of Technical Sciences Ibatov Marat Kenesovich.
The students saw that the museum’s exposition is located in 16 halls and that each hall includes a group of exhibits of a certain theme. Various objects related to the origin of life on the planet, archaeological finds and paleontological exhibits of the XVIII-XV centuries BC, flora and fauna of Kazakhstan, including quite rare species of plants and animals, are presented here.The audience got acquainted with the hall, telling about the traditional Kazakh society, about ethnography and decorative and applied arts, about the construction and development of the city and the coal basin, about cosmonautics, about the first explorers of the region: Rusakov, Gapeev, Satpayev, and about the creators of the Kazakh statehood: autonomy “Alash” and the party “Alash-Orda” with the leaders Bukeikhanov, Baitursynov, Ermekov and Dulatov. We visited the hall with 100 seats.
Special attention should be paid to the fact that visiting the museum had a positive impact on students, as they correctly understand the specifics of the museum as a repository of authentic monuments of material and spiritual culture and the specificity of museum information.
