September 18, 2012 was held the event on theme Traditional Islam and non-traditional movements in the Assembly hall of KSTU, to counter religious extremism and terrorism among the employees of state structures, population and youth, including students. The event was attended by: theologian-master of theological University Al-Azhar (Egypt) Ilimbayev Rizabek Battaluly, Director of Department on Religion Affairs of Karaganda region Tlekbayev Serik Kuatuly, Nayb imam of the Central cathedral mosque Bakdaulet Kydyrbayuly and also students and lecturers of KSTU.
