On April 14-15, 2022, the 2nd stage of the Republican Subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions in the specialty “Mining” in the disciplines “Fundamentals of mining production”, “Ecology of mining production” was held at the Rudnensky Industrial Institute.
Students of 6 higher educational institutions participated in the Olympiad:
- Satbayev University
- Karaganda Technical University named after A. Saginov
- Kokshetau University named after Shokan Ualikhanov
- Zhezkazgan University named after O.A. Baikonurov
- Aktobe Regional University named after K.Zhubanov
- Rudnensky Industrial Institute (Students participated out of competition).
The Olympiad was held in two rounds. First round: test in the disciplines “Fundamentals of mining production”, “Ecology of mining production”. Second round: Calculation and graphic works (for open and underground mining).
According to the results of the Olympiad in the second round in the category of Computational and graphic works (for open and underground mining), the winners were students of Satbayev University, the university team was awarded a Diploma.
Following the results of two rounds in the individual competition, a student of Karaganda Technical University named after A. Saginov Abyurov Zhandos Zhumadildaevich took 2nd place and was awarded a diploma of the second degree.
Also, following the results of the Olympiad, the rector of our University, M.K. Ibatov, was given a letter of thanks for the good preparation of students in the specialty “Mining”.
