In the second decade of November, the “Novice CUP-2024” tournament for university students engaged in debate games was held at Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University. The tournament featured students from Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, E.A. Buketov Karaganda Research University, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, and Karaganda Medical University.
The tournament addressed current and pressing issues, including topics such as how grants should be awarded, the rights and opportunities of women in illiberal democratic countries, and others.
According to the results of the debates:
First place was awarded to Nurzhan Akshabayev and Madiyar Mustafen, students of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University;
Second place went to Nazereke Altanbekkyzy and Asylai Karimova, students of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz;
Third place was taken by Asylai Kosynova and Nauryzbek Polatov, students of E.A. Buketov Karaganda Research University.
