On April 6, 2022, in the conference hall of the Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, a solemn presentation of educational grants to 37 students of one of the flagships of the Kazakh industry – JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” took place.
ArcelorMittal Temirtau has been a strategic partner of the university for 14 years in training specialists and scientific research within the framework of the innovation and educational consortium “Corporate University”.
At the present stage of development of Kazakhstan’s industry, the training of competitive specialists requires real integration of science, education and production.
The event was attended by a representative delegation of the company, headed by the Executive Director of the Mining Department, Gelson Batista.
Gelson Batista emphasized that the most important asset of ArcelorMittal Temirtau is its employees, it is interested in our graduates, and wished the students success in achieving this goal.
After the ceremony of awarding personal certificates to students, guaranteeing not only payment for the entire training course, but also employment at the enterprise, Maria Shutko and Umirbek Taubaev spoke with words of gratitude on behalf of the students.
On behalf of the many thousands of teachers, staff and students, the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, laureate of the Al-Farabi State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ibatov M.K. expressed sincere gratitude to the management of “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” JSC for the support of students. In his concluding speech, he said: “I hope that the effective cooperation of the university and the enterprise will continue to develop, allowing us to make a worthy joint contribution to the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan”.
