September 1, 2012 was solemn meeting dedicated to the Knowledge day and Day of Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the square in front of Main building of KSTU. Rector of KSTU, academician NAS of the RK A.M.Gazaliyev, first deputy of chairman of Karaganda regional office PDP “Nur Otan” K.B.Osspanova, representatives of Administration of internal policy of Karaganda region and many others greeted first-year students. Student of KSTU, twofold World Champion, Olympic Champion of XXX Summer Olympic Games in London 2012 Serik Sapiyev wished students good study. According to established tradition first-year students have received gift packages containing: text of Anthem of the RK and badges with state symbols, reference-guide-book on University, festive issue of the University newspaper “Za politehnicheskie znaniya”, CD-discs with syllabus and electronic learning resources for all academic year and individual academic plans. In conclusion of the first part was held solemn concert, prepared by students amateur groups.
