From October 13 to 16, 2024, the head of the DMD department, Imashev Askar Zhanbolatovich, and associate professor of the same department, Isagulov Sayat Toleuovich, were at Kütahya Dumlupinar University (Kütahya, Turkey). They took part in the 3rd coordination meeting within the framework of the EMINReM project: Master Program in Eco-Mining and Innovative Natural Resources Management, which is being implemented under the ERASMUS+ program. The EMINReM project started in February 2023 and is designed for 3 years. The project participants are Technical University Freiberg Bergakademie (Germany), Universidad de Jaen (Spain), Kutahya Dumlupinar Universitesi (Turkey), Dnepropetrovsk Technological University (Ukraine), Donetsk National Technical University (Ukraine), Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov (Kazakhstan), Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K. I. Satpayev (Kazakhstan), Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov (Uzbekistan), Navoi State Mining and Technological University (Uzbekistan).
At present, the EMINReM project has included coordination meetings, trainings for teachers, creation of a computer class, development of courses and modular educational programs. At the meeting, the project manager for our University, A. Zh. Imashev, presented the modernized educational programs for the Master’s degree in Mining, Geology and Exploration of Mineral Resources, and Life Safety, as well as the results of the work of the Master’s degree admissions office and the created EMINReM computer class at the DMD department.
The meeting discussed cooperation with stakeholders, the design and development of a virtual e-learning platform, lectures for Master’s students from European experts, and further project activities.
The EMINReM project is aimed at improving the efficiency and environmental sustainability of mining operations through cooperation between partners and universities to train a new generation of specialists in the field of environmental, economic, and managerial achievements in the extraction and processing of natural resources.
