From December 16 to 21, a conference on energy and the environment in central Asia and the United States was held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) under the C5+O.N. E (Opening Networks through English) program.
The C5+O.N. E conference provided an opportunity to showcase our work and engage with participants from five central Asian countries on environmental conservation issues.
This conference was organized as a result of the program C5+O.N. All participants in the program in 2024 took English language courses for nine months in the direction environmental protection and energy conservation. The courses allowed the students to expand their knowledge of English in the professional field of ecology and present their reports in English. Following the results of the report competition, the program participants came to the conference of five countries in Tashkent.
The department of «Mine Aerology and occupational safety of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University (senior lecturer E. Tseshkovskaya) took part in this conference with a report on environmental protection during mining operations.
During the meeting, an important aspect was the exchange of experience with program participants from other countries working in the field of ecology and nature management. Each participant presented their report in English on various environmental topics, including green energy, glacier and biodiversity conservation, waste recycling, water and landscape conservation. The exchange of experience and knowledge that took place at the conference will serve the cause of environmental protection well.
