The Association of Kazakhstan Railway Freight Carriers, which is part of JSC «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy», organized an essay contest among students studying in railway specialties in order to comprehensively research the current problems of the industry. The competition was attended by 34 students from all over the Republic, including 4th-year students Indira Bekmagambet and 2nd-year students Fariza Kuan of the Department of «Industrial Transport named after Professor A.N. Daniyarov» of Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov.
Following the results of the competition, Indira Bekmagambet’s work on the topic «The Future of Rail Transport and Its Role in Sustainable Development of Society» received high marks and she became the winner. Her work was distinguished by a deep analysis of current issues of state policy in the railway industry and a comprehensive research of development strategies for this industry.
On January 27, an award ceremony was held at the Department of «Industrial Transport named after Professor A.N. Daniyarov». The winner of the competition was congratulated by Said Alimbayev, Chief Engineer of the Association of Kazakhstan Railway Freight Carriers, who came specially from Astana. He presented Indira with a diploma and a cash prize of 1 million tenge.
The head of the Department of «Industrial Transport named after Professor A.N. Daniyarov», Bakhtiyar Askarov, congratulated the winner of the competition and wished her new successes. He thanked the leadership of the Association of Kazakhstan Railway Freight Carriers for organizing the competition, which gave students the opportunity to be creative, explore the most important problems of rail transportation and contribute to the training of future specialists. He also noted that this victory is the result of the high level of professional training of students of Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov and the efforts of teachers.
