The winners and nominees of the republican contests were honored at the Academic Council of the Abylkas Saginov KTU, held on the eve of the New Year.

For contribution to the development of the national language model and the expansion of the application scope of the state language, Honorary Diplomas of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan were awarded to:
- Aizhan Amirgalina – Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mine Aerology and Occupational Safety;
- Ainur Zhantuganova – Translator at the Institute of Continuing Education;
- Saniya Kantbekova – Translator at the Institute of Continuing Education.

Following the results of the republican competition, six of our teachers received the honorary title of “Best Teacher of 2024”:
- Ali Mehtiyev – Member of the Board – Vice Rector for Science and Innovation;
- Vladimir Demin, Professor of Mineral Deposits Development Department;
- Valeriy Kalytka – Acting Professor of the Energy Systems Department;
- Galiya Rakhimova– Associate Professor of the Building Materials and Technologies Department;
- Aiman Kopobayeva – Associate Professor of the Geology and Mineral Exploration Department;
- Saniya Arinova – senior lecturer at the Nanotechnology and Metallurgy Department.

The results of the republican scientific internship competition within the framework of the “500 Scientists” program were also summed up. Two of our teachers have successfully passed the selection process and received the opportunity for a scientific internship at Humboldt University (Germany):
- Aizhan Amirgalina – senior lecturer at the Mine Aerology and Occupational Safety Department;
- Bekzhan Isakov в – lecturer at the same department.

It should be added that a little earlier, a solemn ceremony was held to summarize and award the Academies of Huawei of the Republic. According to the results of 2024, the Nuawei Academy at the Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University received a certificate and was included in the list of the best Academies in the category “Excellence in Education” for attracting a large number of active students and successfully fulfilling the annual plan set by Huawei at the beginning of the year. The corresponding certificate was awarded to Nurbol Kaliaskarov, Head of the TSC Department.
