The Abylkas Saginov University, represented by Timur Kanapyanov, Member of the Board and Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Digitalization, participated in a seminar organized jointly with the British Embassy on quality assurance of transnational education. The event concluded with an official reception at the residence of the British Ambassador, Mrs. Cathy Leach.
It should be recalled that from December 2024 to March 2025, national experts from leading Kazakhstani universities, together with international experts from the British agency QAA (Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education), worked on the development of the “Quality Assurance Framework for Transnational Education”. This document is a system of principles and standards aimed at improving the quality of international educational programs implemented in Kazakhstan.
During the workshop, the results of the preliminary reports developed within the framework of this project were presented. The main purpose of the event was to discuss the proposed principles and mechanisms of quality control with a wide audience, including representatives of Kazakhstani universities, accreditation agencies and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The seminar became an important platform for the exchange of experience and discussion of ways to implement international standards in the Kazakh higher education system. The participants discussed the key challenges and prospects of transnational education, as well as strategic steps to create a reliable and effective accreditation and quality control system in this area.
The Abylkas Saginov University continues to actively develop international cooperation and introduce best practices into the educational process, striving to meet international standards and ensure a high level of specialist training.
