The structural division of the Research Institute “New Materials” was formed according to Order No. 821 of 03.11.2010. “On measures to create a Research University”.
The Research Institute implements state budget projects on the topics of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, contractual and initiative projects with Mining Research Group LLP. Students’ theses, masters and doctoral dissertations are carried out based on the NM Research Institute. Within the framework of the Agreement on the innovation and Educational consortium “Corporate University”, the Institute closely cooperates with the heads and leading specialists of FSAEI of HE Tomsk State University (Tomsk, Russia), Tomsk Polytechnic University (Tomsk, Russia), Tyumen State University (Tyumen Tyumen, Russia), L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, with agro-industrial complexes and peasant farms of the Karaganda region on issues of future interaction and cooperation. Joint publications have been published in rating journals included in foreign databases Scopus, WoS. Together with foreign partners, research is being conducted on the topic “Development of methods for isolating natural triterpenoids from plants and their chemical transformation in order to search for new biologically active substances” (s.s. – Takibayeva A.T.), “Development of effective methods for the synthesis of azole compounds based on natural substances with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects” (s.s. – Rakhimberlinova Zh.B.). On the implementation of state budget topics, joint publications have been published in rating journals included in foreign databases Scopus, WoS.
Based on the Research Institute, work is underway on the development of high-temperature proton conductors for hydrogen energy, for the processing of waste from coke-chemical, oil-refining industries, and agriculture.
Discussion of the topics of Professor of the Department of Ch&ChT Ibraev M.K. with leading specialists of JSC ” IRPH Phytochemistry” Professor, academician of NAS RK Tuleuov B.I., associate professor of NAO “Karaganda University named after academician E. Buketova” Kasenova R.Z. master’s thesis of a master’s student of the educational program “Chemical technology of organic substances”
The process of work of students of the educational program “Mineral enrichment” behind the planetary mill of fine grinding
Implementation of the master’s thesis by undergraduates of the educational program “Chemical technology of organic substances”
Within the framework of the program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan to attract foreign scientists, the Department of Ch&ChT was visited by Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Organic and Environmental Chemistry of the Institute of Chemistry of the FSAEI of HE Tyumen State University (Tyumen State University, Tyumen, Russia) Kulakov Ivan Vyacheslavovich. Professor Kulakov I.V. conducted master classes on methods of extraction, purification by recrystallization of betulin from plant raw materials – birch bark, as well as consultation and synthesis of betulin phosphorylation product, which is consistent with the work plan of the grant project “Development of methods for isolation of natural triterpenoids from plants and their chemical transformation in order to search for new biologically active substances”
Professor Kulakov I.V. conducted master classes for the staff of the Department of Ch&ChT on the application and use of standard chemical programs such as ChemBioDraw, the package of the program ACDLABS (ChemSketch, SpecManager, Name) and Xcalibur for the analysis and encoding of the original files of NMR spectra and mass spectra. The basic rules and principles of work on the search for structures of organic compounds and methods of obtaining in the database “Reaxys” are shown.
A meeting of teachers and staff of the Department of Ch&ChT with Professor of JSC “IRPH Phytochemistry”, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tuleov B.I. on the discussion of the topics of master’s theses produced on the basis of the Research Institute “New Materials”
