On the eve of Science Day, the teaching staff of the Kazakh Language and Culture Department of Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov took part in the republican online seminar “Issues of teaching the Kazakh language through technology: from theory to practice”, organized by the National Scientific and Practical Center “Til-Kazyna” and SDU University on March 28-29.
The seminar was attended by about a hundred students with the participation of teachers of the Kazakh language from universities and colleges of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where modern topics were discussed on ways to promptly (in 5 hours) teach foreign language learners speech grammar in the Kazakh language, using the capabilities of artificial intelligence in Kazakh language lessons and Internet approaches to teaching the Kazakh language, experience in the effective application of new technology.
Among the speakers of the seminar was a lecture by Ulbosyn Parman, a doctoral student at the University of Georgia (USA) on the topic “Teaching Kazakh as a second language: an oral history project” and an explanation of a special project by the director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at SDU University, Associate Professor Rayhan Abnairova.
At the end of the seminar, students and 8 teaching staff of the Department of “Kazakh language and Culture” of Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov received certificates.
