19.10.2024 Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov, Faculty of Innovative Technologies teachers of the Department of History of Kazakhstan Temirzhanova Sh.M. and Zhakypkanova L.B. was organized excursion to the museum of KarLAG in Dolinka settlement. The excursion was organized for the purpose of patriotic education and familiarization of the younger generation with the history and culture of the native land. The excursion was attended by 1st year students of FEAT, GF, MF, FIT (94 people in total) and supervisors of the group SIB-24-11 Nugumanova Meruert Kalganbergenovna and SIB-24-12 Arabadzhi Kristina Dmitrievna. The museum was established to research and preserve the monuments of the history of Karlag and to immortalize the memory of the innocent victims of correctional labor camps located in Kazakhstan. The excursion guide of the museum told about the violent policy pursued in the thirties in the USSR, about the tragic fates of the victims of Stalin’s repressions. The students visited the hall where the atmosphere of the commandant’s office was restored, the halls that were decorated as cells for prisoners. On the walls of the Karlag were famous people, figures of science and culture, such as A.N. Chizhevsky, N. Satz, L. Ruslanova, etc. During the Great Patriotic War, all of them known or unknown made a greater contribution to the victory over fascism.
