MASTER’S DEGREE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

7M07105 – INSTRUMENT ENGINEERING 

1. Description of the educational program:

The modular educational program 7M07105 “Instrument engineering” was developed on the basis of the following regulatory documents:

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education” dated 27.07.2007 No. 319-III of the Air Defense System, with amendments and additions dated 25.06.2020 No. 347-VI.

Standard rules of activity of educational organizations of the corresponding types (Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 30.10.2018 No. 595, with amendments and additions dated 18.05.2020 No. 207).

State mandatory Standards of education (SES) at all levels of education (Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 31.10.2018 No. 604, with amendments and additions dated 05.05.2020 No. 182).

Rules of the organization of the educational process on credit technology of education (Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 20.04.2011 No. 152, with amendments and additions dated 12.10.2018 No. 563).

The main indicators characterizing the effectiveness and high competitiveness in the preparation of masters in the educational program 7M07105 “Instrumentation” are the following achievements:

• the focus of the OP on the training of qualified personnel with systematic knowledge and competencies in the field of measuring technology and instrumentation, as well as the ability of students to build individual learning trajectories in the context of elective courses;
• training of competitive personnel with higher education, meeting the needs of modern development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the demands of the internal and external labor market;
• employers whose fields of activity correspond to the profile of this educational program participate in the development of educational programs and their components;
• availability of a developed infrastructure, information support for students, employees and the public, reflecting the planning processes, statistical data and evaluation of the effectiveness of the implementation of the OP;

2. Objectives of the Educational program: Training of specialists for the research and development of tools and systems of information and measuring equipment and technologies and the implementation of pedagogical activities in the profile of training.
3. Objectives of the educational program:

The objects of professional activity of graduates are enterprises and organizations of various forms of ownership that develop, implement and operate information and measuring equipment and measuring instruments in various fields of human activity.

6. Subjects of professional activity

The subjects of professional activity of graduates are the development, design and software of information and measurement systems, including technologies of design, development, implementation, maintenance and their operation.

7. Types of professional activity

“Master of Engineering and Technology” according to OP 7M07105 – “Instrument engineering” can perform the following types of professional activity:

production and technological activity: development of components of information and measuring systems, production of measuring instruments and software-measuring complexes; testing and debugging of software-measuring complexes and measuring instruments; certification of objects of professional activity;

organizational and managerial activities: project management of creation, implementation and maintenance of information and measurement systems; selection of technology, tools for the organization of the process of development and implementation of objects of professional activity; organization of individual stages of the process of development of objects of professional activity with a given quality in a given period; staff training within the framework of the accepted organization of the process of development of objects of professional activity;

design activity: development of requirements and specifications of individual components of professional activity objects based on the analysis of consumer requests, domain models and capabilities of technical means; architecture design of components of information and measurement systems; design of hardware and software complexes and their individual components and parts; development of mathematical, algorithmic, informational, software and technical support of measuring instruments and information-measuring systems based on modern methods, tools and technologies of design, including the use of computer-aided design systems.

• Apply modern methods of mathematical and computer modeling to solve design and engineering problems, processing measurement results.

 

5B070400 COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

A graduate of the bachelor’s degree in 5b070400-Computer engineering and software is awarded the academic degree of bachelor of computer engineering and software.

Qualifications and positions are determined in accordance with the “Qualification directory of positions of managers, specialists and other employees” approved by the order of the Ministry of labor and social protection of 22.11.2002, No. 273-P.

Graduates of the specialty 5B070400-Computer engineering and software can work in the following positions:

• specialist of the highest level of qualification without a category;
• specialist of the highest level of qualification of the second category;
• specialist of the highest level of qualification of the first category.

The conditions of admission

The previous level of education of applicants – General secondary, primary vocational, secondary vocational.

The applicant must have a certificate or diploma of the established sample of the corresponding level of education. Admission is carried out in accordance with the Standard rules of admission to universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The ITB Department trains masters in the specialty 6N0704-Computer engineering and software. A graduate of the master’s program is awarded the academic degree of master of computer science and software.

Period of study:

The standard duration of mastering the master’s degree program, depending on the direction and previous training, is:

• on the profile master’s degree-1.5 years;
• on the scientific and pedagogical master’s degree – 2 years.

Graduates who have successfully mastered the educational master’s programs are prepared for doctoral studies.

A bachelor’s degree in the specialty 5B100200 – information security Systems is awarded the academic degree of bachelor of engineering and technology.

Qualifications and positions are determined in accordance with the “Qualification directory of positions of managers, specialists and other employees” approved by the order of the Ministry of labor and social protection of 22.11.2002 No. 273-P.

Graduates of the specialty 5B100200-information security Systems can work in the following positions:

• specialist of the highest level of qualification without a category;
• specialist of the highest level of qualification of the second category;
• specialist of the highest level of qualification of the first category.
