Annual industry national award for workers and companies of the mining industry as well as specialists in design, research, educational institutions and enterprises, laying claim to the title of best in mining and metallurgy of Kazakhstan has begun accepting applications for 2017.
The professional contest «Zolotoy Gefest» is held in the framework of Astana Mining & Metallurgy Congress. The competition aims to raise the status and competitiveness of specialists to encourage them to continuous development of professional skills.
Every year more than 100 nominees participate in the contest «Zolotoy Gefest». The awarding ceremony is held in the following nominations:
- Professional of the year:
- Geologist of the year
- Miner of the year
- Metallurgist of the year
- Project of the year
- Leader of the year for innovation
- Leader in Kazakhstan content
- Scientist-teacher of the year
- Thesis of the year
- Media project of the year:
- Best journalistic work on MC in print and Internet resources
- Best journalistic work about MC on TV
- Best journalistic material on Human labor in the MC (special prize)
- The best solution in the field of energy saving (special nomination from the General partner of the Award «ERG»)
In 2016, 168 applications were considered in 12 categories. Every year the competition involves more and more professionals who are going through the jury assessment, and only well-deserved ones get honor and recognition by annual «Zolotoy Gefest». In 2017, a new format of collecting information of the participants was developed. From 2017, the participants can fill his achievements and awards for further evaluation in the fields. This will enable to organize the data during processing and no reward, merit in the biography of the participants in the project indicators will not remain without attention.
The award ceremony will take place on 25 May, 2017 at the gala – contest «Zolotoy Gefest». The jury will consist of well-known specialists of the mining industry, as well as officials of the state. The winners will be awarded by honorary golden statues, cash awards are provided for some certain categories. It should be noted, that this contest will receive an extensive information support from the media and specialized organizations.
