To resolve the issue of assigning the stamp of EMA-PMG REMA, the applicant (author, group of authors) sends the following materials to the Chairman of EMA-PMG REMA:
- A cover letter signed by the head of the university or organizations. The cover letter indicates the title of the educational publication, surname, name of the author (authors) and reviewers, planned circulation, volume, name of the discipline for which it was developed educational edition (Appendix 1) .
- Statement of the author (group of authors) on the organization of the examination of the educational publication (Appendix 2) .
- Manuscript of a printed educational publication with a volume of at least 9 p.sh. for the textbook and 6 p.sh. for tutorial and workshop.
- The manuscript of the printed educational publication can be submitted in A4 and A5 formats.
- Numbering should start from the 3rd page (bottom center or side, taking into account even and odd pages, on the odd page – on the right, on the even page – on the left (mirror image). Page numbering is set in the same font as the manuscript is typed.
- Margins: top, bottom, right, left – 2 cm.
- Line spacing is single.
- Headings are in bold: chapters and sections in capital letters, subsections, paragraphs in lower case.
- Tabulation (paragraph indentation) should be 1 cm (5 characters).
- After each subsection, it is necessary to include a list of questions for control (at least 5).
- Recommended literature is drawn up at the end of the educational edition: no more than 5 main sources and 10 additional ones.
- For A5 format (148×210 mm): main font – 11 (Times New Roman – in Russian, Kz Times New Roman – in Kazakh). Auxiliary font – 9: text in tables, notes, table of contents, bibliography, figure captions).
- For A4 format (210×297 mm): Main font 14 ( Times New Roman – in Russian, Kz Times New Roman – in Kazakh). Auxiliary font 12.
- The printed educational publication is provided in the form of a manuscript without editorial corrections in paper and electronic forms (in Pdf format) .
- Three reviews on the content of the educational publication. One review is submitted by a specialist working in the same university (scientific organization) with the applicant, two – from specialists working in other universities (scientific organizations). Reviews are provided by specialists who have a scientific or academic degree in the relevant field of knowledge.
The reviews should confirm the expediency of assigning a stamp based on the compliance of the structure and content of the educational publication with the curriculum and the current level of development of science and technology, the novelty of the material presented and its practical significance (Appendix 3) .
- Curriculum of the discipline (WEP, syllabus), according to which the educational publication was developed to confirm that the author (group of authors) tested the educational publication in the educational process.
- Extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Academic Council of the university.
All extracts must contain a recommendation for the assignment of the EMA REMA stamp.
- A certificate confirming the check of the educational publication for plagiarism.
