A remarkable event took place in Karaganda – a charity ball that brought together students, volunteers, and professionals from various fields. This event was not only a true celebration of culture and creativity but also carried an important social mission – the funds raised were directed to support a family raising a child with special needs.
What makes this event even more special is that the majority of the organizers, participants, and choreographers were graduates and current students of Saginov Technical University. These young people are not only receiving an education but also striving to make the world a better place by demonstrating initiative, responsibility, and creative potential. They are the ones who revived the tradition of holding balls, which originally began within the walls of our university.
The event was dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the trade union movement in Kazakhstan and was organized with the support of the city administration, public organizations, and the volunteer community. Preparation lasted for three months – participants rehearsed regularly, improved their skills, and carefully prepared for the grand occasion. This year, the ball featured 60 debutants, 10 volunteers, and 5 choreographers – young professionals from various industries, including mining and metallurgy, construction, railway transport, healthcare, education, culture, entrepreneurship, and public service.
The event was attended by representatives of the administration, faculty, staff, and students of Saginov Technical University. They not only supported their colleagues and students but also reaffirmed that our university is not just an educational institution but a large and close-knit family united by shared values.
This ball is a vivid example of how our students and alumni preserve traditions, develop culture, and contribute to the well-being of society. We are proud that they not only grow professionally but also show initiative, kindness, and a desire to change the world for the better.
