On April 18, a partnership session with representatives of Corporate University and the other enterprises of the region was held at KTU named after Abylkas Saginov. It discussed the issues of strengthening cooperation with partner enterprises and developing modern forms of training and retraining of personnel taking into account the needs of the real sector of the economy and the tasks of sustainable development of the region.
Members of the Management Board: Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Digitalization Timur Kanapyanov and the Chief of Staff, Doctor of Engineering Sciences Aristotle Issagulov, who welcomed the guests, among whom there was an expert in the field of creative industries and sustainable development, a graduate of the School of Analytics of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan Irina Kharitonova, thanked everyone for participating in this meeting and their interest in the issues on the agenda. At the same time, they particularly emphasized the uniqueness of the innovative and educational consortium Corporate University, organized in 2008 on the basis of KTU named after Abylkas Saginov, whose activities make a significant contribution both to the training of qualified personnel and to the development of the entire Karaganda region. Today, it already includes 87 enterprises and organizations.
After a brief presentation about the university, its technical and personnel potential, proving that it is rightfully considered one of the leading universities in the country, Timur Kanap’yanov gave way to the speakers: the heads of the postgraduate education department Liliya Sultanova and the Institute of Continuous Education Gabdisagyt Aubakirov, who focused their attention on issues directly related to production workers. In particular, on continuing education in master’s and doctoral programs at the university, including new industrial doctoral programs without interruption from work; on comprehensive testing and threshold scores for passing tests, etc.
The participants of the session of the Institute of Continuous Education received a lot of useful information. Suffice it to say that today they are offered more than 200 advanced training programs developed by leading university teachers taking into account the needs of enterprises and organizations. Particular interesting, as expected, was the speech by Irina Kharitonova, an expert in the field of creative industries and sustainable development, a graduate of the School of Analytics of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In today’s rapidly changing world, business development challenges require comprehensive solutions, a vision of long-term trends and the ability to build cooperation with residents, employees, non-profit organizations, businesses and government agencies. At the global level, the goal of sustainable development is to ensure human well-being and preserve the planet for future generations.
In 2015, the UN General Assembly adopted 17 global sustainable development goals (SDGs), including the elimination of poverty in all its forms, taking urgent measures to combat climate change and its consequences, etc. But solving these problems can begin at the local level. Irina Vladimirovna showed this using the example of her successful work in one of the regions of the country. She advised to identify first of all the challenges, to identify the problems and only then to begin solving them. The goal is not just training and explanation, but solving problems and making systemic decisions.
“But in these matters, you need to be realistic”, – she emphasized. – “Set real goals and achieve specific solutions”.
The active exchange of opinions among the participants confirmed the keen interest in all the presentations. As Aristotle Zeinullinovich rightly noted, regarding the SDGs, it would be good to learn about pilot projects in industry. Moreover, we are doing some work in many of the areas designated by the SDGs, whether it concerns working conditions and safety, ecology or the introduction of innovations.
In general, according to the unanimous opinion of the participants, the meeting, turned out to be very useful and productive.
