On behalf of the “International Center of UNESCO”, this document was signed by the rector of Saint Petersburg Mining University, a Chairman of the Board of Governors, Litvinenko Vladimir Stefanovich, on behalf of NLC “Karaganda Technical University” – Chairman of the Board – Rector, Ibatov Marat Kenessovich.
The strategic direction of cooperation will be coordination of the participation of Kazakhstan’s universities, scientific organizations and industrial companies on the basis of voluntariness and fairness in the Programs, which are realized by the “International Center of UNESCO”.
Many things have been already done in this direction:
- teachers of the Karaganda Technical University are trained within the framework of the certification program of International Mining Engineers;
- academic mobility of the graduate students of KTU has been carried out;
- students of Kazakhstan’s universities take part in the various forums every year, held by the “International Center of UNESCO”.
It is supposed to jointly accomplish such tasks as:
- creation of the common education space as a mechanism of increasing availability, quality and attractiveness of the mining engineering education;
- creation of the unified system of international professional attestation of the mining engineers;
- development of the educational programs, comprehensive final qualification works at the request of mining companies, being as customers;
- introduction of the innovative technologies into production, that increase efficiency and safety of the enterprises of mineral resources sector;
- global academic mobility of students and teachers.
