On 23 February 2018, a meeting of teachers, students with Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, professor of E.A. Buketov KSU Koketayev Temirgali Abdildaevich in room 338 of the main building of KSTU (in the framework of the program “Rouhani gaar”).
The event was attended by the faculty of History of Kazakhstan, Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, Kazakh language and culture departments, head of the Department of local history of M.O. Auyezov city library, PhD Zhyltybaeva Gulyaim Rashitovna.
In their talks, speakers presented the students presentations on awards and achievements in science and education activities of the guest of honor Temirgali Abdildaevich. The international biographical centre of Cambridge (UK) awarded the title “Man of the century” to Koketayev Temirgali Abdildayevich in 1999, his biography is included in the book “Outstanding people of XX century”, he was awarded a silver medal. In 2001, he was awarded the title “International scientist of the year” with a gold medal and diploma of the International center. In 2006, Temirgali Abdildaevich gave a lecture in Oxford, which was listened by scientists, students from around the world with great interest.
In 2009, he was awarded with the badge “Honorary worker of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan” for special merits in the field of education. He is an Honorary citizen of Karaganda.

During the meeting, students recited original poems dedicated to the famous scientist, asked questions the guests of the event.
