30 and 31 March, the Ninth Republican Subject Olympiad in basic military training was held among the students of the main universities of Kazakhstan in E.A. Buketov KSU. Three people from each team defended its alma mater. KSTU team managed to win the third place.
Complex tasks were divided into three stages. In the first the teams were supposed to test knowledge of the basics of IMT as an academic discipline. After that, the Olympians showed their knowledge of the laws of military life of RK. But the most interesting was the last stage which included the assembly and disassembly of the automatic weapon, running through the obstacle course, rifle shooting at targets, provision of medical care and work with the mask.
The Olympic hosts, who played out of competition received the most points. Students of M.Kozybayev NKSU became the champions; “silver” was shared by representatives of TapSPI and Korkyt-ata KSU.
All winners were awarded diplomas, certificates and prizes.
