On April 12, 2019, the Department of RMPI, within the framework of the Republican Student Scientific Conference “The Contribution of Youth Science to the Implementation of the Strategy” Kazakhstan-2050 “, held a round table dedicated to the 120th anniversary of K. Satpayev.
The moderator of the round table was made by prof. Isabek Tuyak Kopeevich.
The event was attended by the Vice-Rector for Science at KSTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences. Ozhigin SG, teachers of departments of RMPI, MDiG, RAiOT, GRMPI, as well as doctoral students, undergraduates and students.
The event was opened by prof., Ph.D. Arystan Ibatollah Dairovich, who acquainted those present with the biography of a geologist and his great achievements. K.I. Satpayev was the discoverer of numerous mineral deposits in Kazakhstan, and from scratch in the post-war years he created the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan.
During the event, also prof., Ph.D. Isabek TK, Assoc., Ph.D. Usenbekov MS, who also shared interesting information about K.I. Satpayev. In honor of the scientist named new mineral “Satpayev”. Also on April 12 in Kazakhstan they celebrate their professional holiday – the Day of Science Workers. It was established by Decree of the President of the Republic No. 164 of October 20, 2011. The date of the celebration was not chosen randomly. This day is associated with the birthday of academician K.I. Satpayev.
