According to the rating of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan 2013 Karaganda State Technical University entered TOP-30 and took 3rd place in the National ranking-2013 of the best technical universities of Kazakhstan. Also Karaganda State Technical University entered top twenty of higher educational institutions by the General rating of the best universities in Kazakhstan.Kazakhstan practice of rating monitoring, implemented by the Bologna process centre and academic mobility of MES RK, connected with the ranking of educational programmes of universities in Kazakhstan. Today academic ranking of universities by bachelor specialties get important factors for assessing the quality of educational activity of the University. – The national rating of universities implementing the most quality educational programmes will help to answer the request of applicants to choose a location for training.
University ranking in educational programmes of a bachelor degree in 2013 was conducted on five criteria:
1. High concentration of talented students, teachers and researchers (20%);
2. Adequacy of resources (15%); ‘
3. Academic mobility (20%);
4. The competitiveness of the graduates (20%);
5. Scientific activity (25%).
69 universities took participation in Ranking -2013 by 108 educational programmes.
