Every year, student teams of the RMPI department take part in the CASE-IN International Engineering Championship for solving cases in the field of mining.
The CASE-IN International Engineering Championship is an international system of competitions for solving engineering cases among schoolchildren, students and young professionals in the fuel and energy and mineral and raw materials sectors.
The organizers of the CASE-IN championship are the Reliable Change Foundation, the Youth Forum of Mining Leaders Non-Commercial Partnership and AstraLogika LLC (all organizations from Russia). The CASE-IN project is implemented within the framework of the federal project “Social Elevators for Everyone” and the national project “Education”.
The qualifying stage of the X-season of the International Engineering Championship “CASE-IN” on the basis of NJSC “Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov” was held on April 12, 2022. 8 teams from our university took part in the qualifying stage. According to the results of the competition, the Miners team became the winner.

On April 22, 2022, the semi-finals of the CASE-IN International Engineering Championship took place online, and according to the results of the semi-finals, our Miners team reached the final.
On May 26, 2022, the final of the CASE-IN International Engineering Championship was held in Moscow on the basis of NUST MISiS, according to the results of the final, the Miners team did not make it into the top three winners.
The team members gained vast experience in solving cases and international competitions.
