From April 21 to May 06, 2024, within the framework of the project “Master Program in Eco-Mining Engineering and Innovative Natural Recourses Management” (EMINReM) under the Erasmus+ program on the basis of the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany), working and educational trainings of project participants with European partner universities were held.
The training courses are designed to study the theoretical and practical experiences of the European partner countries, including the University of Jaén, Spain; Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg; Dumlupınar University Kütahya; and Türkiye, which are all necessary for the development of the training courses and the successful implementation of the EMINReM project.
Senior Lecturer of the “Development of Mineral Deposits” Department, Khalikova E.R.; Acting Associate Professor of the “Geology and Exploration of Mineral Deposits” department, Amangeldikyzy Altynaу; and Senior Lecturer of the Mining Aerology and Occupational Safety department, Tseshkovskaya E.A. all participated in training sessions on the implementation of EMINReM at Karaganda Technical University, named after Abylkas Saginov.
Within the framework of the Eminent project, 14 disciplines have been previously identified that will be incorporated into master’s programs at universities in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan by September 2024. Based on the results of previous meetings, Professors Carsten Drebenstedt (Germany), Francisco de Borja Diaz Cabezas (Spain), Oktay Sahbaz, Kaan Erarslan, and Enes Zengin (Turkey), shared their experience in developing these disciplines, from competency-based learning to the creation of educational and methodological materials.
The experience gained by our university staff is used to develop educational and methodological materials, as well as catalogs of elective courses for the implementation of master’s programs in the fields of “Mining,” “Geology and Exploration of Mineral Deposits,” and “Life Safety and Environmental Protection”.
Teachers of the department take part in international “Tempus” programs “Erasmus Mundus”:

Attract foreign scientists:
– Course “Geodynamic development Paleozoides Central Kazakhstan” Doctor of Natural Sciences, assistant professor VG Stepantsov, Wilhelmshaven and, Germany;
– A series of lectures, seminars and consultations for bachelors, presentation at the seminar for teachers “The higher education system in Italy” Dr. Jacopo Boag PhD University of Padova (Italy).
