Resume of governing body
The research activity of the Department of Science and Innovation is aimed at the formation of a comprehensive training of competitive specialists with higher and postgraduate education, meeting modern requirements of the socio-economic environment, based on the integration of education, science, innovation, production and business.
Integration of education, science and production, improvement of the quality of training of specialists are implemented on the basis of the first in Kazakhstan innovation and educational consortium “Corporate University”, which united more than 70 large industrial enterprises, such as JSC “Arcelor Mittal Temirtau”, LLP “Corporation Kazakhmys”, JSC “Sokolov-Sarbay mining and Processing Production Association”, JSC “Zhayremsky GOK”, JSC “Shubarkol Komir”, JSC “KEGOS”, LLP “Bogatyr Komir”, LLP “Company “Ersaicaspianctractorllc” and others.
Research work is carried out within the framework of an innovative scientific and technical complex, in the structure of which there are more than 10 centers of science and innovation, 30 cathedral research laboratories and research institutes.
The scientific research of the University scientists is focused on solving scientific and technical problems of the development of Kazakhstan and the Karaganda region in the following areas of production: technologies and equipment for the mining and metallurgical sector and related service industries; current problems of traditional and alternative energy; energy- and resource-saving technologies; nanotechnology and new materials; construction industry and production of building materials; information and communication technologies and biotechnologies.
