On February 12, the scientific and technical session dedicated to modern leaching methods and their application in Kazakhstan’s mining and metallurgical industry concluded. The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in partnership with Kazakhmys Corporation LLP and was held at Saginov Technical University.
As a result of the session, priority scientific projects were selected:
1st place: The joint project “Leaching of Valuable Components from Copper Ore Flotation Tailings”, developed by the Institute of Combustion Problems, Satbayev University, and a team of Iranian scientists.
2nd place: The project “Solving Key Challenges of Kazakhmys Corporation” by Karaganda Industrial University.
3rd place: The project “Processing of Beneficiation Tailings for Rhenium Extraction”, developed by scientists from Saginov Technical University.
The implementation of these projects will improve the efficiency of valuable metal extraction, reduce the environmental impact of industrial waste, and strengthen Kazakhstan’s position in the field of mining and metallurgical technologies.
