On March 28, 2025, an extended meeting of educational and methodological associations in the areas of training «Mechanical engineering, processing and construction industries» and «Services» was held at Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University. This group is part of the republican educational and methodological council under the ministry of science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by foreign experts, employers, stakeholders, as well as representatives of educational institutions that train specialists in the fields of “Engineering and Engineering: Mechanics and Metalworking” and “Standardization, Certification, and Metrology” (by industry). In total, 83 specialists participated in the meeting, sharing their thoughts and suggestions on improving the education system.
The moderator of the extended meeting was Farida Muratovna Isatayeva, deputy chairman of the UAB -НBT, head of the department of geology and exploration of mineral deposits of Abilkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, doctor of technical sciences.
At the plenary session, a member of the university board, vice-rector for science and innovation Ali Dzhavanshirovich Mekhtiyev made a speech of thanks, noting that Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University is one of the leading universities in Kazakhstan in the management and coordination of educational and methodological associations. He noted that the university is actively working to coordinate the activities of higher education institutions in various specialties, especially in the areas of engineering and technology: mechanics and metalworking; manufacturing and processing industry: mining and mineral extraction; standardization, certification and metrology (by industry); He noted the relevance of the issue of training specialists in hygiene and labor protection in production and other technical areas.
The extended meeting was attended by 50 people in person and 30 people online.

- Vasily Viktorovich Yurchenko is a doctor of technical sciences, head of the department of technological equipment, mechanical engineering and standardization at Abilkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University.
- Safonov Andrey Aleksandrovich – Director of Production, Maker LLC.
- Andrey Alekseevich Berg is the head of the CAE engineering department at SimuComp LLP.
- Vytautas Bučinskas – PhD, Vilnius Gediminas technical university, professor, head of the department of mechatronics, robotics and digital manufacturing, Vilnius, Lithuania
- Vytautas Turla is a doctor of technical sciences, professor, head of department at Vilnius Gediminas technical university, and a foreign expert.
- Kim Vladislav Nikolaevich – director of service at KazTechPro LLP.
- Aimagambetova Raushan Zhanatovna – сhairman of the Industry council of the ministry of industry and trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, research Institute «Kazstandard» and head of the education department.
During the extended session of the Mazhilis, Farida Muratovna Isatayeva made a decision to approve the proposed textbooks, and other speakers shared their thoughts and exchanged opinions with the participants on current issues.
After the plenary session, the participants took part in sectional meetings, got acquainted with the laboratories and educational and industrial base of the university. Following the meeting, priority areas for the coming period were determined and new steps to improve the education system were outlined.
The development of the education system in the areas of «Engineering, production and construction» and «services» is the basis for the country’s technological and economic growth. Therefore, improving the quality of education in these areas, introducing new methods and mastering international experience are important steps to strengthen the competitiveness of Kazakhstan.
