From 1 to 10 April 2015 at the Department of “Industrial ecology and chemistry” of Karaganda state technical University will host the traveling Exhibition “Chemical safety in Kazakhstan: Issues and Answers”.The Exhibition aimed to educate people on issues of chemical safety in the framework of the Concept of sustainable development in Kazakhstan, the project “Empowering civil society in the Republic of Kazakhstan on improvement of chemical safety”, as well as implementing the principles of “Green economy” and the preparations for the International specialized exhibition “Astana EXPO – 2017”.
The Exhibition is organized by the NGO “Karaganda regional ecological Museum”, PF “Center for introduction of new, environmentally sound technologies” and KSTU.
The exhibition is one of the results of long-term cooperation of the staff of the Department of “Industrial ecology and chemistry” KSTU with Karaganda regional ecological Museum.
The Exhibition period will be the series of lectures on the following topics:
– About the project “Empowering civil society in the Republic of Kazakhstan on improvement of chemical safety” (03.2015);
– Heavy metals and their impact on the environment and the human body”. Measures against pollution (04.2015);
– The impact of persistent organic pollutants on the environment and the human body. Measures to prevent pollution (04.2015).
