From November 19 to December 18, doctoral students of the 3rd year of the «Mechanical Engineering» educational program of Abylkas Saginov KTU completed a scientific internship at the Gediminas Vilnius Technical University (Lithuania).
The main research areas included tribological testing, which studies the properties of materials under friction conditions; optical analysis, which provides a detailed study of the microstructure of samples using a scanning electron microscope; mechanical testing, which determines the characteristics of materials under tension, bending and compression; measurement of sample geometry, which analyzes the accuracy and parameters of shapes obtained during production.
The internship allowed doctoral students to gain valuable experience working with advanced equipment and strengthen their scientific competencies in the field of mechanical engineering.
