The main tasks of the DIT:
- implementation of a system for document management and interaction of structural divisions;
- modernization of computing resources of computer classes based on modern cloud technologies;
- modernization of the computer equipment fleet, and technical and technological equipment of the classroom fund;
- creation and development of the “Digital University” in order to improve the image of the website of KarTU named after Abylkas Saginov in the Internet space;
- optimization of the organization of business processes of educational activities by switching to the provision of services in electronic format and preparation of statistical reports by implementing ITSM methodology;
- creation and development of massive open online courses (MOOC);
- commercialization of activities in order to increase the efficiency of implementation of created innovations.
The main functions of the DIT:
- implementation of a unified network infrastructure of the university by introducing the latest information technologies;
- integrability into the university education quality management system;
- decentralization, openness in the sense of ensuring the maximum opportunity for the educational divisions of the university to integrate into the information environment of the university and independently form and maintain their educational resources;
- ensuring consistency and coordination in order to meet certain university-wide requirements, and save financial and material resources;
- compliance with global trends in the development of e-learning and learning management;
- distributed nature of the information environment with unified navigation tools that provide university users with quick and convenient access to all educational resources;
