From October 13 to October 28, 2022, the Department of Russian Language and Culture of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University is holding a video presentation competition “Man. Earth. Universe” dedicated to the 65th anniversary of launching the first space rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
The competition goals are as follows:
- promoting preserving the authenticity of Kazakhstani society;
- forming civic-patriotic consciousness among students;
- activating cognitive activity through acquaintance with great discoveries;
- developing critical thinking and oral communication skills in Russian.
The main task of the participants is to present a 3 minute video presentation using no more than 5 slides.
The speeches of the participants are recorded on video for subsequent evaluation by an expert commission, including the teaching staff of the department.
The video presentation should contain the information of the people, research, discoveries related to space that influenced the development of scientific and technological progress.
The student coverage is 50-80 people.

Criteria for evaluation:
- logic and structure of the video presentation;
- observance of grammatical, lexical and pronunciation norms;
- design of slides.
Competition dates:
- from 13 to 25/10/2022: acceptance of competitive works;
- from 26 to 28/10/22: expert evaluation of presentations by the competition commission and announcement of the results of the competition.
