From March 3 to 7, the traditional XIX regional sports competition for student youth took place in Karaganda.
In the overall team standings, the team from the Abylkass Saginov Karaganda Technical University took second place! Considering that our team only lost to the team from the E.A. Buketov Karaganda University, which has a physical culture and sports faculty, this can be called an excellent result!
The program of the competition included 17 sports, in which our athletes became prizewinners in 13 of them.
This is the great work of our coaches from the “Physical Education” department. Let’s name them:
- Okasov, Senior Lecturer, futsal coach – 1st place – 1st place;
- Kuzakhmetov, Senior Lecturer, sports tourism coach – 1st place;
- Eleyukeshov, Senior Lecturer, volleyball coach (men) – 2nd place;
- Madiyarov, Senior Lecturer, chess and checkers coach – 2nd, 3rd places. He is also a coach in Togyzkumalak, where the team also took 2nd place;
- Tazhibay, Lecturer, archery coach – 2nd place;
- Isabaev, Senior Lecturer, table tennis coach – 2nd place;
- Chzhen, Lecturer, track and field coach – 2nd place;
- Rakhymbekov, Senior Lecturer, Kazakh wrestling coach – 3rd place;
- Saidullin, Senior Lecturer, winter presidential triathlon coach – 3rd place;
- Zakiullin, Specialist at the Personal Development and Sports Center, basketball coach – 3rd place (men and women).
Also, a significant contribution to the formation of the teams was made by lecturers G. Kuatova, A. Seisenova, and A. Sokolova.
Lecturers, led by the head of the “Physical Education” department, R. Okashev, are conducting planned work to achieve high results.
