From January 15 to January 24, 2025, the Office of Pedagogical Monitoring of the Department of Academic Affairs conducted an online survey “Clean Session” among students of all the faculties of the University based on the results of the winter examination session of the 2024-2025 academic year on the Google platform. The survey was completed by 2653 students, including 2528 students of the 1-5 years, 80 master students and 45 doctoral students of our University. However, the graduating students did not show much interest in this survey, and first-year students were among the ardent respondents.
Students were asked to indicate “whether they were satisfied with everything in preparing for the exams”, “whether they received sufficient preparation”, “what difficulties they encountered when passing the exams”, “whether they consider the form of knowledge assessment at the exams to be objective”, and “whether enough time was allocated to answer the exam questions”.
The level of academic performance of students who have completed the survey is positive, as a result of which only 11% (291 people) have outstanding exams. Thus, 92% (2441 people) of respondents consider the exam grades to be objective.
Most respondents see the benefit of conducting the SIWT (MIWT, DIWT). In terms of objectivity, students primarily indicated testing (56%) followed by written (34%) and oral (8%) forms of assessing, respectively.
These results in their subjective meaning can indicate high satisfaction of a significant majority of students with organizing and conducting the winter exam session.
Online surveys of students will also be conducted on the quality of teaching individual disciplines of the curriculum.
