People themselves make any holiday special. The example of Nauryz celebration within the walls of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical is a vivid confirmation of this. Here they began to prepare for it long before the spring equinox in nature. From March 14, all faculties began to hold festive events, delighting with creative finds, mass participation and a high level of their organization. Each of them brought their own zest to these events, which distinguished them from each other.
The national games and competitions of national traditions held recently also attracted great interest. Оn March 20, in the foyer of the first building of the university, the final stage of the celebration of Nauryz was held with the participation of the university management headed by the chairman of the board – rector Saule Sagintayeva.
She congratulated all participants on the bright spring holiday, emphasizing that it has nothing to do with religious rites. In the minds of Kazakhstanis, it is associated with the celebration and renewal of nature, the beginning of new achievements. Regarding the university, we can talk about the successful implementation of the planned plans. Including the plan for the implementation of investments in production, which began in 2024 and is calculated until 2029.
At the same time, she noted that last year we had 12 more PhD scientists, and another 7 of our young scientists became recipients of state grants this year. The composition of deans and heads of departments is being updated.
In a word, good changes are evident. Expressing confidence that this work will continue, she wished that the celebration of Nauryz gave everyone a boost of energy and vivacity for the whole year, inspired them for new achievements, and brought happiness and prosperity to every home.
Professors Savet Sagintayev and Tokmyrza Yntykov addressed their congratulations to those present at the celebration.
Then, according to good tradition, the «shashu» ceremony was performed, which had the following purpose:
«Give your greetings to smiling people
Throwing a handful of candy and coins
Left – luck, right – success
«To shower everyone with happiness, to make everyone happy…».
We don’t claim to judge happiness, but the ritual definitely lifted everyone’s spirits.
And kind wishes coming from the heart –

«Illnesses and worries will disappear forever» –

The custom of «Besikke salu» and the national games «Arkan tartys» and «Assyk atu» held by the road and transport faculty attracted great interest from the audience.
The faculty of engineering economics and management held the national games «Togyz Kumalak» and «Bes Assyk».
The faculty of еnergy, automation and telecommunications delighted us with their musical talents, and the faculty of architecture and construction presented a Kazakh dance…
Throughout the event, songs and dombra were played, without which no holiday can do today. Especially Nauryz.
At the end of the event, richly laid tables awaited everyone, right here in the foyer. After all, Kazakhs, one might say, absorb cordiality and hospitality with their mother’s milk.
