Student competitions on national traditions and sports games “Az-Nauryz” were held at Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University.
The idea of the “Az-Nauryz” contest is for the teams of youth centers of all faculties and colleges, as well as student councils of dormitories to study and present on stage national traditions, dishes and costumes of peoples celebrating Nauryz since time immemorial. Also, students had to face off in such national sports as “kazakh wrestling”, “tug of war”, “lifting a kettlebell”, “hand-to-hand combat”, which took place in the sports complex of the university.
According to the results of the four stages, the third place was taken by the team of the faculty of Innovation Technology, the second – by the team of the College of Innovation Technology, and the first – by the team of the faculty Engineering economics and management. The main prize of the Chairman of the Board-Rector M.K. Ibatov was awarded to the team of the student Council of the dormitory No. 3.
