On 10 February, the most important moment in the life of graduates of profile graduate program in practice-oriented programmes of SPIID–2 happened. They received their long-awaited diplomas from rector in the assembly hall of KSTU, that will be their pass into the industrial life of our country. KSTU is the first and currently the only basic institution of the region, that became a member of the pilot project on training of State program of industrial-innovative development for 2015-2019.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the University administration, representatives of large business enterprises in the region, employees of the regional akimat, teachers of the university and, of course, the heroes of the occasion – the newly made masters and their happy relatives and friends.
In his welcoming speech, the rector of KSTU professor M. Ibatov, congratulated the graduates with the long-awaited day, noted that it is on them, they have a huge responsibility to the country and themselves: “You are the first ones in Kazakhstan who receive master’s degrees of engineering and technology in innovative profiles “Nanotechnology in metallurgy” and “Robotics. Management system”! You have the privilege to participate in achieving the tasks set in the new Message of the President of the Third stage of modernization of Kazakhstan.”
The head of one of the largest domestic enterprises of the industry “Kazpromavtomatika” Chaika noted the necessity of such projects for Kazakhstan industry: “We cooperate with KSTU from the earliest days of the company existence. And it brings great results. Many graduates of KSTU work for our production on the most advanced positions. It is not an occasion that the Karaganda State Technical University became the flagship in a new project, put forward by our President. From the new graduation, six people will be working in our company, and the next graduation will give us 14 specialists. I am confident that our cooperation will only bring good result in future”.
Within the framework of the course, 64 master’s project were developed and defended on the orders of such backbone enterprises as “Kazakhmys” Corporation, “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” JSC, “National company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” JSC, “Elektrovoz kurastyru zauyty”, “Karagandy su”, “KAZPROMAVTOMATIKA”, “Karagandy Zharyk”, “Karaganda Energocenter”, “Teplotranzit Karaganda”, Karaganda pharmaceutical complex and others. They are all employed in these enterprises. It remains only to wish not to drop the high standard of graduates of Polytechnic University!
