The UN Development Program in Kazakhstan is launching the National Knowledge Week 2022, which will include the Skills UP youth hackathon. The Hackathon program will include an online educational intensive, regional qualifying rounds in four cities. The best teams with startup ideas will reach the final: three teams from each region.
The main goal of the competition is to raise awareness of the skills and competences of the 21st century, to motivate young people to improve their creative and technological skills.
Students from 16 to 29 years old can take part. The competition consists of 3 stages:
- conducting an online educational intensive Skills UP (in Kazakh and Russian) that will begin on 10/17/2022;
- four regional Skills UP Hackathons in full-time format. The competition will also be held in Karaganda;
- the final stage of the Demo Day contest will be held in Almaty.
Organization of travel and accommodation for winning teams of regional competitions is at the expense of the organizers.
