Andrew Hockley, accompanied by the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Jantassova D.D. and the faculty members of the department, is going to give a series of lectures to undergraduate and doctoral students, to conduct training sessions for teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages and the University, and will also be involved in the teaching and research activities of the Department between November 18 and December 14, 2021


The Department of Foreign Languages welcomes Andrew Hockley, a highly experienced MA trainer with international experience, qualified and knowledgeable academic manager who designed, developed, and evaluated numerous large scale educational projects, British council trainer, Masters in International and Intercultural Management with DELTA qualification from Norwich Institute for Language Education, UK.

Andrew Hockley, accompanied by the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Jantassova D.D. and the faculty members of the department, is going to give a series of lectures to undergraduate and doctoral students, to conduct training sessions for teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages and the University, and will also be involved in the teaching and research activities of the Department between November 18 and December 14, 2021.

Twice a week, teacher training courses led by Andrew Hockley will be held with the members of the department to cover current pedagogical topics on ELT field such as: project-based and task-based learning, student-centered learning as well as co-teaching and discussions on research projects.

The Department of Foreign Languages will also organize classes 3 times a week for first year students with a British scientist and qualified English language trainer, where they will have the opportunity to sharpen their English skills in a total English environment, and to increase fluency accents and build confidence to think and speak English.

There will be classes twice a week with Andrew Hockley for Master degree and PhD students, covering topics such as “Intercultural awareness and Communication” and “Academic Leadership and Meaningful Management”. Classes will be delivered in hybrid format (offline and online lectures) via Microsoft Teams. All interested doctoral students and university teaching staff, including those teaching in multilingual groups, are welcome to take part in the online sessions and share their knowledge and experience with the international guest.
