On 10 February, at 11:00 there will be an important moment in the life of graduates of specialized graduate programs in practice-oriented programmes SPIID–2. They will be awarded with diplomas, after that, young professionals will immediately be included in the process of work at the largest enterprises of our region. KSTU is the first and currently the only basic institution of the region, became a member of the pilot project on training staff for objects of State program of industrial-innovative development for 2015-2019 years.
The representatives of the university management represented by the rector of KSTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor M.K. Ibatov, First Vice-rector – Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor A.Z. Issagulov, Vice-rector for strategic development, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor G.S. Zhetessova, Vice-rector for Science work, Doctor of Technical Sciences, S.G. Ozhigin, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs – Candidate of Technical Sciences, associate professor N.A. Alpyssbayeva and Director of Zh. Abisheva ChMI – Doctor of Chemical Sciences S.O. Baissanova and employees of the akimat’s administration will be the honorary guests.
All graduates of the first graduation are employed to the largest enterprises of the country such as: “Kazakhmys” Corporation, “Zhezkazgantsvetmet”, Parkhomenko plant “Production Association of foundries” LLP, Zh.Abishev Chemical-metallurgical Institute, “Maker” LLP branch, “ML Engineering” LLP, “NiKo-2010” LLP, “Turkuaz Machinery” LLP, “PowerBeton” LLP, “Karaganda plant of metal structures – Imstalcon” LLP and others. It is the fact that graduates are employees of the company in the process of study and therefore already have a job, it is the main positive aspect of the project.
With the experience gained in the implementation of international educational project “Synergy”, involving leading technical universities of Russia and KSTU under the auspices of the world manufacturer of means of robotics concern “Festo” (Austria, Germany), at the Department of Automation of Production processes, new interdisciplinary program of profile master course “Robotics” was developed.
64 master’s projects on the orders of such backbone enterprises as “Kazakhmys” Corporation, “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” JSC, “National company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” JSC, “Elektrovoz kurastyru zauyty”, “Karagandy su”, “KAZPROMAVTOMATIKA”, “Karagandy Zharyk”, “Karaganda Energocenter”, “Teplotranzit Karaganda” Karaganda pharmaceutical complex and others were developed and defended within its framework.
In the period from 2010 to 2014, KSTU produced and employed 1 096 specialists within the framework of the Industrialization Map of Karaganda region. Additional demand for specialists by 93 companies included in the industrialization Map of the region, 2014-2019 amounted to 1 682 people. As part of their training between the University and representatives of large industrial companies of the region a number of agreements was signed. Demand for graduates of KSTU is 97%, 95% of them are employed at the enterprises of the region.
The analysis shows that in the framework of regional projects SPIID-2, the graduates of the specialties: “Metallurgy”, “Mechanical Engineering”, “Automation and control”, “Mining”, “Technological machines and equipment”, “Electrical power engineering”, “Construction”, “Geology and exploration of mineral deposits”, “Computer engineering and software” are the most popular.
High achieved results allow to hope for successful continuation of the project in the future in terms of the third modernization of our Republic.
