On March 28, 2025, an important panel session on the topic of «AI-Sana» was held as part of the ALMATYFAIR.AI 2025 artificial intelligence technology exhibition held in Almaty. The session was attended by experts and representatives of the higher and postgraduate education sector of Kazakhstan to discuss the main problems and prospects for the development of education in the field of artificial intelligence.
The exhibition was attended by representatives of the country’s leading universities, technology companies and experts. The meeting was also attended by the dean of the faculty of Innovative Technologies of Abilkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University Amirov Azamat Zhanbulatovich. In his report, he spoke about current problems in the training of specialists in artificial intelligence and the initiatives undertaken at the university in this area. Also during the exhibition, the AI SANA, QAZCODERS and AI PEOPLE programs were presented, and visitors were shown key startups in the field of artificial intelligence, drone football and robotics competitions.
In accordance with the instruction of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the government launched the innovative program «AI-Sana» aimed at training highly qualified specialists in the field of artificial intelligence. This program was first announced after the Demo Day event held at Astana Hub on December 11, 2024.
The AI-Sana program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at developing artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan. It aims to shape the country’s digital future by strengthening the IT ecosystem, training highly qualified specialists and widely implementing artificial intelligence technologies. The program includes such important initiatives as introducing artificial intelligence courses into the education system, supporting scientific research and developing startups.
In the era of rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies, the AI-Sana program will allow Kazakhstan to integrate into the global AI community, as well as become one of the countries competitive in the development of the digital economy.
