In 2016, February 19 Department of development of language culture of the Karaganda has held traditional city competition of expressive reading masters, which is named after Oralkhan Bokey and Mukagali Makataev, in order to expand the scope of using the state language ,to develop language culture and to promote fiction literature. On February 11, 2016 the Internet Olympiad was conducted under supervision of Kalybekova K.S. (Head of Department of Kazakh language and culture), Khamzina K.M. The goal of Olympiad was to show high demand and value of state language in our society. Also it was easy to see the level of involvement in learning Kazakh language of high school students, future university students. The first round of competition was writing an essay. The topics were following: “The strategy of Kazakhstan 2050 is foundation of bright future”, “The message of President”, “The great value of global exhibition EXPO2017 for our country”, “The status of state language in Kazakhstan”, “A choice of profession is a choice of future”, “People and nature are united”. There were 21 participant, 7 of them were selected with the best results. Also students who participated in the second round passed grammar test.
The first pro-rector Issagulov A.Z. congratulated winners. There was Zhambayeva Orynbassar a student of 11 grade at school-lyceum №7 from Zhezkazgan. She won the first prize. The winners of second and third prizes were awarded with letters of commendation. Khamzina K.M., who organized this event, said: “Kazakh language is state language, because it is the main symbol of our country. By organizing and conducting this Olympiad we wanted to solidify the status our language. The respect and commitment of young people was a big pleasure for us.
