Academic Process


The educational and laboratory base of the departments of the faculty is in many ways unique, ensures the implementation of the educational process and has no analogues in the region. Scientific-methodical and educational-methodical seminars are functioning at the departments of the faculty. Meetings of methodological seminars are held at least once every two months according to work plans. Their activities cover the main problems of methodological support and improvement of the educational process, generalization and dissemination of best practices in organizing and improving educational and methodological work and the introduction of credit learning technologies. The Bachelor’s degree program 6B07101 “Automation and Control” has passed the international accreditation in AIOR (Russia) and abroad EUR-ACE. The Department of Energy Systems has 11 educational and research laboratories, including 2 computer classrooms equipped with modern computer equipment for laboratory work, term papers and diploma projects. The technical base of the laboratories is constantly being modernized, modern samples of electrical equipment are regularly monitored, and appropriate changes are being made to the laboratory base. Unique equipment has been created for conducting field experiments “Mock-up of a turbine generator of a CHP plant” and “Model of a heat supply system for production facilities”. Huawei Academy has opened at the department of TSS. The office is equipped with all necessary technical and software tools. The training is conducted by Huawei certified instructors, senior teachers of the Department of “Technologies and Communication Systems” Yesenzholov Ulan Serikovich and Kaliaskarov Nurbol Baltabaevich. The first Huawei Academy graduation is scheduled for December 2021. Graduate groups of the specialty “Radio Engineering, electronics and telecommunications” take part in the training. The department also has a Cisco network academy. After successful completion of the courses, students are given certificates from the instructors of the academy. At the Department of Physics, it is carried out in 6 educational laboratories, in which 70 laboratory stands (installations) are located on the basis of which students have the opportunity to perform laboratory work in all sections of physics. The laboratories are equipped with digital results processing programs.
