International cooperation

The Department of «Technological equipment, engineering and standardization»

January 15, 2009 signed an agreement with the European Commission for the implementation of multinational projects TEMPUS IV. Purpose – reform of educational programs in space technology. The project involves 11 universities and 13 organizations from six countries. The amount of the contract is 70 000 EUR.

Since 2010, implemented the program Erasmus Mundus – is a program for the exchange and cooperation in higher education aimed at improving the quality of European higher education and promoting dialogue and understanding between peoples and cultures through cooperation with third countries. In addition, the program promotes the development of human resources and international capability of cooperation between higher education institutions in third countries through increased exchange programs between the EU and these countries. Official website of the program – www.maneca-em.org. Our department within the University is the coordinator of the program.
The Programme can participate:
students and graduates,
teachers and researchers,
those working in higher education

Education and training is conducted in universities in Europe: Technical University of Berlin, PH Ludwigsburg, Lessius – Mechelen Campus De Nayer, Technical University of Vilnius Gediminas, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra from 3 months to 2 years.
Implemented 31 targeted program
During the period of education and training paid for tuition, accommodation, travel and stipend. The program costs 1.95 million EUR.
Implementing a program of education dvudiplomnogo – Double Degree with Tomsk Polytechnic University.
Under the pilot program, doctoral degree PhD in “Mechanical Engineering” by the research work with the Moscow State Open University, St.-Petersburg Polytechnic University, Belarusian National Technical University, Graduate School of Zittau-Gorlitz, Technical University of Berlin, Belgian Denaer University, the University of Fontus ( The Netherlands). The department has established the scientific, industrial and educational links with other universities, research institutes (Moscow, Astana, Almaty, Zhezkazgan, Pavlodar, Stepnogorsk, Tomsk, Kiev, Berlin, etc.) that allows PPP and training employment of graduates of the department. In particular, in 2009-2010, students, masters and doctoral students were trained in the universities of Tomsk Polytechnic University, Technical University of Berlin, Lessius – Mechelen, CAMPUS De Nayer, and the teachers of the department have been trained in Belgium and Germany. All this allows us to issue competent specialist engineers.

Exchange of experience and cooperation – the guarantor of success in the development of modern education

  During the visit, the delegation in KSTU the period 23.02.2014 on 28.02.2014, Prof. Sherov K.T. visited the following chairs of TPU:

– «Automation and robotics in mechanical engineering»;

– «Technology-aided engineering production»;

– «Materials Science in Mechanical Engineering»;

– «Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology»and Nano Center of TPU;

– «Materials science and technology of materials»;

– «Equipment and technology of welding production»;

– «Computer measuring systems and metrology»;

– «Engineering Pedagogy».

Arrangements have been made in the following areas.

1. Research activities

1.1 Organization of joint applications for research grants funded by the governments of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. Commercialization of research activities in order to release products competitive in the domestic and global markets.

2. Training and retraining.

2.1 Discussed with the Department “Technology-aided engineering production” TPU possibility of establishing a joint center (Small Business Administration) at the Department of “Mechanical Engineering” KSTU training, retraining and advanced training of specialized workers for businesses and organizations of Kazakhstan, in particular retraining programs: CAD-CAM system, the formation of basic knowledge to work for engineering production, preparation of CNC machine operators, preparation adjusters CNC machines, etc.

2.2 Training, internship, retraining and advanced training faculty, academic staff, engineering workers.

3.1 Opening the double degree program of Master in the directions followed by training program of postgraduate and employment in KSTU.

3.2 Develop collaborative teaching materials, textbooks, manuals, monographs.

3.3 Development of academic mobility bachelors, masters, doctoral students and faculty.

Cooperation with national technical University

Joint scientific-technical projects implemented by the center
THE BELARUSIAN-KAZAKH SCIENTIFIC-INNOVATIVE AND EDUCATIONAL CENTER IN THE FIELD OF ENGINEERING

The developed scientific and technological bases of creation of multicomponent powder coatings based on metallic, ceramic and polymer components with high level of hardness, strength, corrosion resistance, wear resistance for high load of parts rolling and drawing production, mining, petrochemical industry, metallurgy, construction, engineering.

The picture shows a sample of the products supplied to metallurgical enterprises of the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.

The products has a high level of performance, economical and provides improved durability of the equipment. Individual sizes of parts durability increased 7 times. Considerable economic effect (e.g. RUE BMZ – more than 2.5 million U.S. dollars). It allows to solve problems of import substitution (of RUE BMZ), to export to Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia.
