The republican debate tournament ADAL Cup was attended by 40 teams from Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and other regions of the country, including Akmola, Aktobe, Karaganda, Kostanay, Pavlodar regions, East Kazakhstan region and Ulytau regions. The main goal of the tournament was to create an anti-corruption culture among young people and promote the ideals of integrity with zero tolerance for corruption. The debate was held in the British parliamentary format and included two Leagues -Kazakh and Russian.In the Russian-speaking league, all three prizes went to teams from Astana. The best team was “Kuzdeubaev Nurtas ” (Nurtas Kuzdeubaev, Rolan Mukhitzhan). Nomad Da (Altynai Zamanbekova, Daniyar Baymagambetov) took the second place.Stand up comedian Ruslan Tai became the headliner of the event.The organizers of the tournament are the Akimat of the Karaganda region, the Department of Youth Policy, the Youth Resource Center of the region and the NGO “Center for Support of Youth Initiatives”.
