The results of the final stage of the Republican Olympiad in Mechanical Engineering, organized by the Karaganda Foundry and Machine-Building Plant in cooperation with the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov.


This Olympiad was held to popularize the professions of the machine-building industry, improve the skills and realize the creative potential of the participants, as well as identify the most gifted of them.

15 people were allowed to participate in the final. Among them are university and college students, as well as high school students who have passed online qualifying tests in several disciplines.

The program of the stage was designed to perform theoretical and practical tasks. At first, the participants were waiting for a blitz survey. Here, future machine builders needed knowledge in chemistry, physics, industrial safety, drawing, materials science, metallurgy and general mechanical engineering.

Then, each of the contestants had to complete a number of practical tasks, demonstrating the skills of metal welding, assembly of components and the development of a control program.

The results of the competition were summed up by a special commission.

The winner of the first place in the Olympiad received a four-year grant to study at the Abylkas Saginov University, the participant received an annual scholarship for the second place, and an Apple MacBook for the third.

Daniyal Ospanov, a student of the College of Innovative Technologies at the Abylkas Saginov Moscow State Medical University, took the second place. Congratulations to all the winners of the Olympiad, we wish you further success and new achievements!
