A grand opening ceremony for a modern gym was held at Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University. The event was attended by the head of the Karaganda Regional Sports Administration, Olympic champion Serik Sapiyev, as the guest of honor. He had the privilege of cutting the symbolic ribbon. The renowned athlete emphasized the importance of promoting a healthy lifestyle among students and supported the university administration’s initiative.
“Having such a modern gym at the university is a great opportunity for students to maintain a healthy lifestyle and engage in sports. I am confident that this gym will become a place for nurturing and developing many talented athletes,” he said.
The Chairperson of the Board and Rector of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, Saule Sagintayeva, congratulated everyone on the opening of the new gym. She highlighted that sports development is a key focus at the university and that the new gym is an important step in this direction.
“It is important for us that our students not only receive education but also develop in all aspects. The new gym provides opportunities for strength training and promotes a healthy lifestyle,” she stated.
The modern gym is equipped with various machines for strength training and cardio workouts, as well as dumbbells, barbells, and other sports equipment. Here, students can improve their physical fitness and train at a professional level.
The university administration and guests expressed confidence that the new gym will make a significant contribution to strengthening students’ health and promoting strength sports.
